This page explains how we decide what gets published on TopHotCoupon, how we keep advertising separate from editorial decisions, and what to do if you spot something wrong.
What we publish, and why
We list coupons, deals, and merchant information that we believe are real, current, and useful to a shopper. A listing earns its place by being accurate and working — not by how much traffic it might generate or whether we have a paid relationship with the merchant behind it. Offers that turn out to be expired, misleading, or non-functional are corrected or removed, regardless of any commercial relationship.
How advertising and editorial stay separate
Paying doesn’t buy “verified”
Whether a coupon works is checked the same way for every merchant, sponsor or not.
No pay-for-ranking
Sort order reflects relevance and freshness, not who is advertising with us.
Sponsored content is labeled
Any paid placement is clearly marked as sponsored — never disguised as an independent recommendation.
Non-partners get listed too
A merchant with no affiliate relationship with us can still appear if the offer is genuine.
How income is disclosed
We earn money mainly through affiliate commissions, and occasionally through clearly labeled sponsored placements. See our Affiliate Disclosure for the full detail. That income supports running the site — it does not decide what gets published.
How corrections work
We check it
An editor re-tests the code or re-verifies the claim.
We act
Fixed, updated, or removed — whichever is accurate.
No penalty for reporting
We’d rather know than have a bad listing sit there.
What we don’t do
We don’t fabricate usage statistics, success percentages, review counts, or “verified” claims. We don’t use countdown timers or stock counters that don’t reflect anything real. We don’t write content designed to make an offer look better than it is. When we’re not sure a claim is accurate, we leave it out rather than guess.
